Level 1 Functional Skills in English
We will firstly conduct an initial assessment to ascertain at what level you should be working towards on our online platform.
To successfully achieve this qualification learners must pass all of the three mandatory elements, Reading, Writing and Speaking, Listening and Communication.
For both the Reading and Writing the learner will be set an assessment that will be marked by the Awarding Body and the duration of each assessment will be 1-hour.
In the Speaking, Listening and Communication element there will be two assessments including the delivery of a presentation and involvement in a questions and answers session. For the other tasks, learners will take part in a group discussion and the duration of each assessment will be 15 mins duration.
The guided learning hours for this qualification is 55-hours and assessments can be either paper based or electronic.
