Level 2 Certificate in Spectator Safety (RQF)
This qualification is to confirm occupational competence and provide learners with the knowledge, skills and understanding of Spectator safety. It covers topics including: Preparing for spectator events, assisting with the movement of spectators, dealing with crowd issues, managing and resolving conflicts, dealing with incidents at spectator events and supporting the work of the team and organisation.
It also includes the optional unit of: Application of Physical Intervention Skills in the Private Security Industry to be used by all learners as part of their job role and location at an event who are required by their employers to undertake physical interventions when de-escalation conflict management techniques have failed to resolve conflict. It is not mandatory to complete this unit.
Prior to certification, all learners will also undertake ACT (Action Counter Terrorism) training with us as part of the qualification.
This qualification is assessed by a learner portfolio for the knowledge element followed by site assessments observing the learner in their place of work for the competency element.
Guided learning hours for this qualification is 73 hours.

Must be 16 years of age or above if you are not taking the PI element, but if you are undertaking the extra Physical Intervention unit then you must be 18 yrs of age or over prior to delivery commencing.
